National Convention Raffle Policy
National Convention membership raffle. Starting in February 2022, each meeting the member* attends will award them one entry in the raffle. One winning name will be drawn in April of each year. The raffle will be drawn live at the April business meeting. It will be done with a digital list randomizer with all names listed and visible before the drawing is made to ensure fairness of the raffle. Winner does not need to be present at that meeting to win. If they are not present, the chapter president will reach out to them directly to help claim their winnings. The chapter agrees to cover the following expenses for the winning member:
ACF National Convention registration (up to $1,000)
Flight or Travel (up to $500)**
Hotel Room (up to $500)***
If the winning member is not available to attend the convention, they have two options.
- Forfeit their win, instead it will go to the next in line from the drawing.
- Instead, elect to attend an ACF regional conference or ACF Mastercraft Summit with the same financial stipulations as listed above
Winner must redeem by the end of the year in which they were awarded. Previous winners cannot win again for a period of five years.
*Junior Culinarian members are not eligible, must be 18+
** Travel includes gas reimbursement if member decides to drive to a local summit, convention or regional conference. Any meals during travel, or those not included in the convention registration are covered at the member’s own expense. Uber/Lyft, taxis or car rentals are not covered by the chapter. Included flight expenses consist of coach/main cabin tickets, cancellation protection and baggage fees. Other flight upgrades such as extended leg room, business class, etc. are not covered by the chapter. The member shall cover these upgrades at their own expense. If the member's flight or travel is under $500, they may use those remaining funds towards their hotel stay.
***Hotel stay includes room, taxes and resort fees for lowest price participating hotel with the ACF convention. Any incidentals will be at the member's expense.
